For many years, apl. Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Ulf Nürnberger was managing employee of the Materialprüfungsanstalt of the University of Stuttgart and its predecessor for the construction area, the Otto-Graf-Institut. And he was adjunct professor for the area "Corrosion and Corrosion Protection in the construction Industry" at the Institute of Construction Materials of the Faculty.
In addition, apl. Prof. Nürnberger is a long-time member of the fib and their precessor FIP (Fédération Internationale de la Précontrainte). He is an active member of the fib-commission 5 “Reinforcements“ and of the fib-Task Groups TG5.2 “Reinforcing Steels and Systems“ und TG5.4 “Recommendations for Ground Anchor Systems“. He has since retired from a few others. The International Federation for Structural Concrete has now awarded him honorary membership for his merits.
