The September issue of the magazine 'forschung leben' of the University of Stuttgart has been published. It is dedicated to the topic "Mobility of the future - shaping mobility culture together". The focus lies on the search for future-oriented mobility alternatives. Questions of how people and goods will "get around" in the future and reach their desired destination are the order of the day. The challenges are great if we are to shape intelligent and above all sustainable mobility for our future society.
The contributions highlight, for example, the Innovation Campus "Mobility of the Future" as well as concepts for an emission-free campus and autonomous vehicles.
Two researches of the Faculty 2: Civil and Environmental Engineering ´contributed to the current issue::
- Prof. Dr.-Ing. Markus Friedrich [DE]: "Mobilität auf dem Prüfstand" (Mobility on the test bench) pages 12-15
- Prof. Dr. Syn Schmitt: "Muskelspiel im Crash-Test" (Muscle play in crash test) pages 44-47
Faculty researchers are also in charge of the MobiLab, the real-life laboratory for intelligent, emission-free mobility (Report "Der autofreie Campus kommt" (The car-free campus is coming: pages 16/17).
