The issue 1/2022 of the magazine 'forschung leben' of the University of Stuttgart has been published and deals with the vision "intelligent systems for a sustainable society". The cover topic is Public Engagement - Creating Knowledge Together (Gemeinsam Wissen schaffen).
The issue also contains the article "Aus der Katastrophe lernen" (Learning from disaster) (pages 62/63) about the work of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jörn Birkmann, Director of the Institute of Spatial and Regional Planning (IREUS) of Faculty 2: Civil and Environmental Engineering. Other researchers of the faculty have also contributed with their work to two other articles:

- Article: "Vom Plastik bis zum menschlichen Haar" (From plastic to human hair, pages 54/55) about the exhibition "Pretty Porous - Alles Porös" (Pretty Porous - All Porous), which was significantly contributed by the Institute for Modelling Hydraulic and Environmental Systems (IWS).
