The Ministry for the Environment, Climate and Energy Management will continue to provide financial support for the "Competence Center for Trace Compounds" (Kompetenzzentrum Spurenstoffe KomS). For the new funding period until March 31, 2027, the KomS will receive 2.6 million euros.

"The Competence Center for Trace Compounds BW has earned a high degree of trust among experts and an excellent reputation beyond the state borders," said Environment Minister Thekla Walker in this regard on February 23, 2022 in Stuttgart.

It is the only one of its kind in Germany and has been serving operators of municipal wastewater treatment plants since April 1, 2012 as a central point of contact, competence and bundling for the expansion of trace substance elimination.
