Stiftung AQUA awarded the AQUA Study Prize 2020 on July 28th, 2020, to Mr. Aron Negusse Asfaha, M. Sc.. He was an international student of the "WAREM - Water Resources Engineering and Management" study program at the Faculty. University of Stuttgart. He was honoured for his outstanding Master's Thesis "Optimal Design of Pressure Measurement for Stochastic Calibration of Water Distribution Hydraulic Models" which was supervised by PD Dr.-Ing. Sergey Oladyshkin at the Institute for Modelling Hydraulic and Environmental Systems (IWS). The thesis deals with the calibration problem of water distribution models that are key to any analysis, design evaluation or assessment to be carried out on the water supply pipe networks.
