RICoLAUD stands for Rivers as Integrated Connecting factor between Landscape, Agriculture, Urban settlement and Delta. In this start-up fund project, researchers from the University of Hohenheim, the Karlsruhe University of Applied Science, and the University of Stuttgart are working on a proposal that combines their core competences in agriculture, political sciences, and eco-hydraulic engineering. The set goal of the proposal aims at the protection and restoration of ecosystem functions and services. The Department of Hydraulic Engineering and Water Resources Management of the Institute for Modelling Hydraulic and Environmental Systems (IWS-LWW) of Faculty 02 will make a significant contribution with its expertise in numerical modeling of eco-hydraulic and morphodynamic processes.
