Excellent overall university result per professorship surpassed even further

In 2011, the faculty was even more successful than the University of Stuttgart as a whole in attracting third-party funding. In february 2014, the Federal Statistical Office in Wiesbaden published the amount of third-party funding that was raised at German universities in 2011. The press release states:

"Professors at German universities raised third party funds of an average of 232,200 euros each. For comparability reasons, the medical institutions/health sciences of universities are not taken into account. "

At 605,500 euros, the third-party funding of the University of Stuttgart is more than twice as high as the average and ranks second among all German universities. With a total of 14,6 million euros (611,188 euros per professorship) raised by all employees, the faculty is still above the average of the University. The RWTH Aachen achieved the highest third-party funding per professorship (716,900 €), number three in Germany, a little behind the University of Stuttgart, was the KIT (605.100 €).
