The Dr. Artur Fischer Foundation has awarded Mr. Michael Yamandu Eckstein, M. Sc., the Foundation's prize in the category "Technology, Processes and Methods in Civil Engineering". He receives the prize for his master's thesis entitled "Überprüfung von Befestigungsmitteln unter quasi-statischer Belastung bei wiederholter Rissöffnung" (Verification of fasteners under quasi-static loading with repeated crack opening), which he wrote under Prof. Jan Hofmann at the faculty's Institute for Building Materials (IWB). The prize is awarded annually by the Fischer Group of companies for innovative and future-oriented theses in the field of fastening technology.
