Congrats to the winner of DAAD-Award 2019!

Aron Negusse Asfaha, an Eritrean student of the Faculty's international, English-language Master's programme in Water Resources Engineering and Management (WAREM), was awarded the DAAD Prize for Outstanding Performances of Foreign Students. In addition to his excellent academic achievements, he was also honoured for his social commitment at the University of Stuttgart. The DAAD Prize is endowed with €1,000 and is awarded per university. The prize was presented by Rector Prof. Ressel on 14 October as part of the central first semester student welcome.
Mr. Asfaha wrote his master thesis entitled "Optimal Design of Pressure Measurement for Stochastic Calibration of Water Distribution Hydraulic Models" at the Chair of Stochastic Simulation and Safety Research for Hydrosystems of the Institute for Modelling Hydraulic and Environmental Systems (IWS) of the Faculty under the guidance of Priv.-Doz Dr.-Ing. Sergey Oladyshkin.
