in concrete and masonry construction at the Institute of Construction Materials of the faculty (junior professorship W1 without Tenure Track)

The endowed professorship is funded by fischerwerke GmbH & Co. KG. The successful applicant shall interdisciplinary explore adhesively bonded structural connections and their durability and strongly cooperate with other institutes especially the MPA (Materials Testing Institute) of the University of Stuttgart.

The applicant is expected to show new ways how adhesively bonded connections can be designed under durability aspects and how they can be used in practical applications based on interdisciplinary solutions. The focus of the professorship therefore is the process reliability and durability of adhesively bonded connections. This includes chemical, physical and analytical issues, too. The development of new adhesive formulations is not envisaged. The willingness to participate in interdisciplinary and coordinated research programs is required.

The position involves teaching in study courses offered by the Faculty as well as in cooperation with other faculties, and participates in a collegial manner from the Institute's resources.

We are searching for a personality who should be distinguished by high-ranking scientific publications (optional: or patents) with international visibility.

Conceivable successes are, for example, those in the fields of research, teaching, science and society, knowledge and technology transfer, inventions and patents, software development or spin-offs.
