The first IAHR Young Professionals World Congress took place on November 17th and 18th, 2020.
The event was held online, with the goal of gathering young professionals and experts from various water-related fields all over the world. Beatriz Negreiros, M. Sc., who has joined the IWS-LWW Team in November 2020, presented a case study of hydrological modelling of the Seridó river basin in the semi-arid region of Brazil. Her presentation, but also the 1st IAHR Young Professionals Congress was a huge success.
From the IWS-LWW team also Prof. Silke Wieprecht (IAHR Vice President) and Stefan Haun (Chair of the session Flood Risk Management) participated at the event.
