A growing number of transport companies are using on-demand systems to expand or replace conventional transport services. Some even see the combination of scheduled transport and pooling services as the solution to the traffic problems of the future and the decisive step away from motorized individual transport.

Dr. Witgar Weber studied law and newspaper studies in Munich, Tübingen and Hohenheim and initially worked as a lawyer. From 1984 to 1996, he worked as Senior Government Director at the State of Baden-Württemberg. Subsequently, he was Executive Director for Economy and Infrastructure at the Verband Region Stuttgart until 2001. After working for the VVS as Managing Director until 2009, he is now Managing Director at the Verband Baden-Württembergischer Omnibusunternehmer.
